About Us
After several years of being out of radio broadcasting, TejanoSundays was created in 2015 when new Alpine Radio owner Martin Benovich approached me about getting back on the radio with any kind of show I wanted. I was intrigued by the offer and said, “If I’m back on the air – it’s gotta be Puro Tejano!” and the radio show was born! TejanoSundays is centered around an old skool “tardeada”. The other DJs on the Sunday lineup, including DJ Pancho and DJ Jaime Lopez along with myself Robert Alvarez, blend great Tejano and Conjunto music with shoutouts and requests to help your backyard BBQ or family fiesta get groovin’ con La Onda!
